Back to School 2026 - 2027

Dear Southold Families,
I hope you’ve had a wonderful summer, soaking up everything our Southold community has to offer!
There is always an unmistakable energy in the air as we prepare for a new school year. Opening our doors brings a genuine fresh start—a chance for our students to step into new adventures, embrace exciting challenges, and thrive - together.
Here are some important upcoming events and dates:
Student schedules will be available on the Student Portal of eSchool Friday, August 14th. If you have any questions, please contact your guidance counselor. Listed below are the caseload breakdowns by last name:
Senior Portraits are scheduled for Thursday, August 20th. Prestige has mailed home appointment brochures. Senior Portrait Retakes are scheduled for Wednesday, October 28th.
7th Grade Student and Family Orientation - Tuesday, September 1st at 6:00pm in the District Auditorium
The first day of school is Tuesday, September 8th.
The first day of BOCES Programs is Tuesday, September 8th.
The Student Club Fair - Wednesday, September 16th and Thursday, September 17th
Open House - Thursday, September 17th at 6:30pm
Grades 7 - 11 School Photos - Tuesday, September 22nd
Homecoming - Friday, October 2nd at 3:30pm
Commencement for the Class of 2027 - Saturday, June 26th, 2027 at 11:00am

In compliance with New York State’s Distraction-Free Schools policy, students will be required to keep cellphones or other non-school issued internet enabled devices in their locker throughout the school day. The only approved device is a school-issued Chromebook. Students may retrieve their devices when leaving campus for lunch or dismissal. All students will be provided a school issued lock.
