September 11th - Patriot Day

Good Morning,

As you may be aware, today marks 25 years since the attacks of September 11, 2001.  

While an entire generation has grown up since that morning, it remains a day of deep and complicated emotions. We reflect on the tragic images and the loved ones lost, but we also remember the incredible spirit of unity and compassion that bound our country together. We remember the heroes who rose up, the neighbors who reached out, and the resilient American spirit that shined through our darkest hours.

September 11th, Patriot Day, is a National Day of Service and Remembrance. It is our way of paying tribute to the victims and honoring the first responders and everyday citizens who answered the call to serve.

While we honor these heroes with our thoughts and prayers, it is vital that we also honor them with our actions. The lasting legacy of this day is meant to be forward-looking—a yearly reminder to rekindle the tolerance, service, and compassion that unified us 25 years ago.

I encourage all of you to reach out and offer your help today. Think about how you can be an active, positive force here in our school and throughout our community. By giving of yourself and helping others in need, we honor the memory of 9/11 and reaffirm the strength of our nation through everyday acts of kindness.

Please join us in a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. to correspond with the exact moment American Airlines Flight 11 struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center.

Make today, and the days to come, worth it.
